The country icon for Birds of Mongolia at Sibagu is shuvuu, which combines two orthographic forms of the Mongolian word for 'bird', shuvuu. One is the traditional orthographic form sibagu, made up of the letters ᠰ᠊, ᠊ᠢ᠊, ᠊ᠪ᠊, ᠊ᠠ᠊, ᠊ᠭ᠋᠊, ᠊ᠣ (s-i-b-a-g-u), which is literally read out as sibagu when teaching the script but pronounced as shuvuu in ordinary speech and reading. The Traditional alphabet has its ultimate roots in the Phoenician alphabet, which was transmitted to the Mongols via the Aramaic, Sogdian, and Old Uighur alphabets. The other orthographic form is the Cyrillic spelling, шувуу, which directly represents the modern pronounciation shuvuu幸运飞艇怎么规则. The Cyrillic spelling was imposed by the Soviet Union in the 20th century and is the normal orthography in Mongolia. The traditional alphabet is still used in Inner Mongolia and has been partially revived in Mongolia itself. The reading pronunciation of the traditional spelling gives its name to this site and a heavily modified calligraphic form is used as the site icon.
